Keeping Up With Tradition

For the last few years we have been doing an activity for the first 25 days of December. We actually have a cute little advent house that you open the little doors to find out what the activity is for the day. I didn't realize how excited my kids would find this but they absolutely love it. Here are the activities we are planning this year.

1. Decorate the tree
2. Write a letter to Santa
3. Watch It’s a Wonderful Life
4. Make snowflakes
5. Watch A Charlie Brown Christmas
6. Make peppermint trees
7. Make a snowman and real hot chocolate
8. Make real eggnog
9. Wrap Dad’s presents
10. Sign Christmas cards
11. Make more snowflakes
12. Watch the Snowman
13. Drive around town see the Christmas lights
14. Make fudge
15. Go to the Christmas parade
16. Have a Hershey Kiss
17. Make Christmas cookies
18. Make popcorn and cranberry garland
19. Make popcorn balls
20. Make a real gingerbread house
21. Christmas tree coloring (printout)
22. Have the girls play a Christmas song on the piano
23. Make even more snowflakes
24. Read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
25. Have breakfast together and listen to Christmas music

Some things are super easy like eating a Hershey's kiss and watching a movie. That is 100% intentional. Some days can't be afforded the time to craft or bake. It gives me a fighting chance to complete our list.
