2011 Goals Update: Gettin' Things Done Edition

Financial Goals

1. Get out of credit card debt.
Done! Woo to the hoo! This now has turned into save for an emergency fund goal. We are motoring along quite nicely at around $2,500.

2. Track coupon savings.
Coupons? What are those? Obviously not doing so well with this one.

3. Save $1200 for Christmas.
$1025 and change saved, but I have been spending some of it already. Yay, for Christmas shopping!

4. Save $600 for 30,000 mile maintenance.
$475 saved.

5. Save for a new washer and dryer.
We are going to wait until they are dead to replace. We are putting any extra into the emergency fund which will cover these expenses when the time comes.

6. Make some extra cash
I had a really great month of extra income thanks to some blogging income and Etsy sales. I brought in over $1,000 this month. It ALL went into our emergency fund. Exciting, right?

Personal Goals

1. Read at least 20 books.
I have already reached this goal but I did add three more books this month, making my total for the year twenty three. The books I read were Restore, Recycle, Repurpose, It's All Too Much and Middlesex.

 Complete 4 home improvement projects.

So far I am at three, but plan to get another done in October.
3. Grow an herb vegetable garden.
I still have some tomatoes and zucchini on the vine. They won't be around much longer.
4. Be nice to the sailor.
I think I was really nice this month.
5. Blog at least 15 posts a month.
I did slow down posting a lot this month, but I still made my goal

I had a mini goal this month of volunteering 10 times at the school. I volunteered seven times total and I would have made my goal, but the whole first week of September the school didn't need me. So, I am happy with my number.

How are your goals coming along? Are you happy with the progress you've made this year?
