The rules are simple. I set my iPod on shuffle and wrote down the first 5 songs (yes, the actual first 5 songs. I didn't skip if I didn't like the song) that came up. Then I thought of a financial situation that I was in that was related to the song title but not necessarily the subject matter of the song.Alrighty, here we go...
1. "Big Shot" by Billy Joel
Being a "big shot" can definitely get you into some financial hot water. Yeah, you big shot. With your fancy clothes and car.
2. "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da" by The Police
Really? Not sure what to say.
3. "It's a Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock and Roll" by AC/DC
Okay, first things first. Bagpipes are the epitome of rock'n'roll.
But the money lesson from this is if you want to have rock star finances, it's going to take hard work.
4. "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead
I am going to turn this one into a warning about credit cards. Or more about using plastic when you don't have the cash. Living beyond your means could be considered a fake or not realistic lifestyle.
5. "The Man Who Sold The World" by Nirvana
Okay, on to the links....
